The moment you lay your eyes on them, you are going to love these beautiful travertine tiles. They have a certain degree of charm which is difficult to find in most other specimen that you would be looking at the store while doing a purchase for home improvement and furnishings. They have been in fashion right since the time people started using tiles to add beauty to their home. Tiles used anywhere always looks good, but lime stone tiles attracts the most. Found in the deep waters of sea and oceans, limestone is composed of dead creatures and sea particles like shells, amphibian moss etc. The process of its making is pretty interesting. This is how it takes a natural shape. The sea shells assemble at the bottom of the ocean bed, and is there for some time and then sedimentary rocks mixes with them in extreme decayed condition. With the passage of time, they convert into plain cemented layers which gradually take a shape of the hard rock because of extreme sea pressure. This is how raw lime is formed and with further process of crystallisation, they are given the shape of tiles which are subsequently used as pavements and flooring material at high traffic places.
But there are some things about Limestone Tiles which you wouldn't like. They are a very porous material and adequate attention should be given while installing these tiles. They are susceptible to cracks in case water seeps in. But hat is not a huge deterrent as their elegance will last for generations, beautify any home, and its subtle hues colors compliment any choice of décor.
