Renovate Your Home with Marble Tiles

These days, a huge variety of Marble Tiles has flooded the market in such a fashion that in popularity, they are beating the highest grades of granite – big time! Today, they are commonly used in formal master bathrooms, both on the walls and floors, but have a variety of applications.

However, you are advised to take certain precautions before using them. First of all, you need to consider the basics of marble - what kind of maintenance is required, the grades available, the going rates attached to each, and the drawbacks of the material.

Undoubtedly, some drawbacks are attached to Marble Tiles . Irrespective of the fact that they need far more careful cleaning other tiles, natural Marble Tiles usually cannot be laid out in a visually seamless manner. That's the reason that most natural marble has subtle veining and color variations that will, under most circumstances, not permit a perfect visual match.

You should keep in your mind that Marble Tiles are usually the ‘leftovers’ from the cutting of larger slabs, since the largest possible sizes are given preference in the cutting and grading processes. This being so, searching a set of visually and texturally compatible tiles large enough for one’s purpose can be quite a chore.

To overcome this problem make sure to take care on two counts- first, always buy only form an authorized and reputed dealer. Second, employ the services of an experienced installer, since the only time that reasonable consistency can be ensured is at the installation stage.

The installer will also ensure that there is no future warping of the marbled surface by implanting it in a consistent mortar bed. Colored Marble Tiles such as the black and green kinds have a tendency to wrap or ‘curl’ when they are exposed to too much water. An experienced installer will expect this and take appropriate precautions.

If you are ready to install and maintain your Marble Tiles properly, you will enjoy the benefits of this fine and beautiful material.

They have a certain degree of charm which is difficult to find in most other specimen that you would be looking at the store while doing a purchase for home improvement and furnishings. They have been in fashion right since the time people started using tiles to add beauty to their home. Owing its high durability, these tiles have carved a distinct image, a mark of credibility in the market of home decor and flooring installations.

Tiles used anywhere always looks good, but lime stone tiles attracts the most. Found in the deep waters of sea and oceans, limestone is composed of dead creatures and sea particles like shells, amphibian moss etc. The process of its making is pretty interesting. This is how it takes a natural shape. The sea shells assemble at the bottom of the ocean bed, and is there for some time and then sedimentary rocks mixes with them in extreme decayed condition. With the passage of time, they convert into plain cemented layers which gradually take a shape of the hard rock because of extreme sea pressure. This is how raw lime is formed and with further process of crystallisation, they are given the shape of tiles which are subsequently used as pavements and flooring material at high traffic places.

But there are some things about Limestone Tiles which you wouldn't like. They are a very porous material and adequate attention should be given while installing these tiles. They are susceptible to cracks in case water seeps in. But hat is not a huge deterrent as their elegance will last for generations, beautify any home, and its subtle hues colors compliment any choice of décor.
